  • Completed TDLR-approved 6-hour classroom driver education course for adults ages 18-24.
  • Received Texas Adult Driver Education Certificate (ADE-1317) upon completion.

Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Course (Adults 18 or older)

  • Successful completion of the Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) program is a prerequisite for the driving skills examination.
  • Applicants must view the ITAD course in its entirety and obtain a certificate of completion prior to scheduling the road test.
  • Certificate is valid for a period of 90 days from issuance.
